The Voyager Tarot is a very different tarot deck, with photo collage and with new titles for the types of cards, and for the Suits. Here we have the Balance card for today. Akin to Justice in traditional decks, here we do have the presence of a Sword, but more pronounced is the large Crystal, which is a Suit in the Voyager Tarot, replacing Swords. All of this is to say that this card takes place in the realm of the mind, insight, awareness and consciousness. Good morning, everyone. Compared to yesterday’s daily reading of the Nine of Wands’ strength in reserve, there is nothing reserved about the Ace. The Ace of Wands indicates a tremendous upsurge of ideas and imagination, as well as the enthusiasm, inspiration and energy necessary to undertake a creative project or venture. In this card, one might also say that you have been struck by the radiant light of the Divine, which now pours forth through you and into the world. My approach to these daily readings has been to draw a card from one of my own decks, but if the image doesn’t feel “right” for the day, then I like to search other decks online, until the “right” image appears. This was especially the case today, and when I came across this card, I intuitively knew it was really the right one for today. This is a highly unusual tarot deck, illustrated by Italian artist Nicoletta Ceccoli, with each card featuring a woman or women, and rendered in a soft, surreal manner. But while it seems like the meaning of The Lovers card is obvious, it is in fact a highly symbolic card that has meaning beyond relationships. Good Sunday morning to you all. The card drawn today is the Two of Pentacles. Since it’s Mother’s Day in the U.S., this particular rendition of the card spoke to me: a woman, a bellydancer, whose age and physical characteristics (that can be used to stereotype a woman) are somewhat indeterminate. I like this very much. Instead, what we focus on is her seemingly effortless skill in balancing two silver pentacles up in the sky, while performing her intricate dance. This capacity to juggle can only come with great practice and much concentration. The man pictured has attained great wealth, more than average, and everything else which goes hand in hand with this, and supports keeping that state.
